29 Apr Queensland Firebirds V Collingwood Magpies
The Suncorp Super Netball Season has begun as we are hosting the Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds first home game against the Collingwood Magpies on Saturday May 4.
Firebirds Caption Gabi Simpson is calling on fans to help make Firebirds and netball history and sell out every home game this year.
Gabi said 2019 was going to be a big year for the Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds and she was on a mission to sell out the season.
“It’s our first year in our new home with the most passionate fans in the league. We want to share our home with as many fans as possible and sell out every home game this year,” Gabi said.
“This building represents every Queenslander who has helped build the sport of netball and made this venue a reality. It’s only fitting we fill every seat to honour all of their hard work.”
Gabi said they’d tested the court in their pre-season games and it was incredible to play on.
“But this centre was built for the on and off-court experience and we want to see what this place is like with a full purple crowd.
“Firebirds fans are the BEST fans in the league, and we want to see you all here for every game.”
