We recommend that patrons plan their travel arrangements and allow plenty of time to get to the venue to avoid any chance of missing kick-off. Patrons who arrive early can enjoy the curtain raiser match and pre-event entertainment before the main event gets underway.

To ensure you don’t miss any of the action, make sure you allow enough time in case of travel delays. On game day patrons can catch regular timetabled bus services operated by Brisbane City Council.

In addition, special shuttle bus services from the Banoon Station run direct to the Nissan Arena.

Travel Routes

From Banoon train station to the Arena via bus:

Banoon > Arena

Catch the bus from Eight Mile Plains to the Arena:

Eight Mile Plains Park ‘n’ Ride > Garden City > Macgregor Park ‘n’ Ride > Arena

Catch the bus from Park ‘n’ Ride Outbound to the Arena:

Park ‘n’ Ride Outbound > Mains Road Park ‘n’ Ride > Arena

  • To the event: Special shuttle services will run at regular intervals for 1 hour before commencement of main event.
  • From the event: At the end of the game, patrons should make their way to their bus departure location. For a 30 minute period, bus services will operate.

Queensland Rail City Network Services

Banoon Station is the closest railway stations for patrons travelling to and from the arena where bus shuttles will connect you to the Arena.

  • To the game: Patrons can catch regular, timetabled services to Banoon Station
  • From the game: Shuttles will return patrons back to Banoon Station to catch regular service back to original location.

Parking

The QSAC (Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre) precinct has a multi-story parking block will over 600 carparks available (except for major events). This multi-story car park is also the biggest Translink Park ‘n’ Ride facility in Brisbane. Along with ring-road parking around the athletics stadium, the precinct has over 1000 parking spots. Major events

There is PRE-PAID PARKING ONLY available on major event days at the venue.

  • Queensland Firebirds home games

FREE TRAVEL ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Queensland Firebirds ticket holders are entitled to receive FREE TRAVEL with Brisbane City Council Buses and Queensland Rail (excludes Brisbane City Council ferries, the Gold Coast G:Link light rail and Airtrain services).

Public Transport is the best transport solution for all spectators coming along to all Firebirds home games. There are several options which include free shuttles from Banoon Train Station, Eight Mile Plains, MacGregor Park ‘n’ Ride and Westfield Garden City as well as the City Buses on routes 130 and 140.

  • Free travel begins four hours before and concludes four hours after the event.
  • Eight Mile Plains, MacGregor Park ‘n’ Ride (stop 59 Kessels Road) Westfield Garden City (Stop O) and Banoon Train Station have special event shuttles that will commence 60 minutes before the event commences and the returning shuttles will run for 30 minutes post event.
  • City travel will be as per the standard bus timetable for that specific day.
