09 Jun Netball Queensland and Nissan Arena announces safe return to play with Soul Safe™
Netball Queensland and Nissan Arena are proud to announce a new training partnership with Soul Safe™ to ensure a safe return to the courts for our community across the state.
Established in Queensland, Soul Safe™ is Australia’s first member-based certification in Infection Prevention and Control, designed to certify businesses and their workforce in virucidal management.
The partnership will provide critical training to the new COVID Safety Coordinator role at each of Netball Queensland’s 439 Clubs and Associations, so that venues and practices are compliant with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
The announcement comes as community teams across Queensland begin to resume training this week following the easing of Stage 2 of restrictions.
Netball Queensland’s General Manager of Venues, Events, Competitions and Commercial, Ben Mannion, believes the new partnership is critical for netball’s return to play in a new environment.
“The health and safety of our netball family, as well as the broader community, remains our focus as we return to the court, so while it’s exciting to be back training it’s also important we maintain strict hygiene practices for everybody’s benefit,” Mr Mannion said.
“To have Soul Safe™ provide our Associations and Clubs, from the grassroots to the Queensland Firebirds, with the training they need to ensure they are confident, compliant and prepared will be invaluable for our community as we navigate this new environment together.”
Soul Safe™ CEO, Jack Martin, said the program provides an online training framework, in line with the latest government guidelines and an ongoing, marketable certification that responds to changes to guidelines and new learnings about the virus.
“This partnership is a great example of Queensland businesses coming together to create a safe and virus-free community,” Mr Martin said.
“Soul Safe™ provides clarity and confidence to businesses across all industries as they ramp up their operations in line with easing government restrictions.
“We are proud to be working closely with Netball Queensland for a safe return to the courts.”
Netball Queensland has also partnered with Soul Safe™ affiliate Martin Brothers, a trusted provider of high quality, effective and affordable hygiene specific goods.
A bulk buying arrangement of hygiene and sanitisation products will be available to Associations and Clubs through Martin Brothers.
Further information about the Soul Safe™ training and bulk buying initiatives will be shared with the Netball Queensland Community in the coming days.
