In the first year of the partnership with Eventco, the Queensland Firebirds and Nissan Arena have experienced a new level of sports presentation, with game days, ceremonies and fan activations elevated to create unforgettable moments. 

With over 25 years of experience delivering events across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, Eventco brought their expertise to every corner of Nissan Arena – from lighting and sound to technical precision that ensured every Queensland Firebirds Suncorp Super Netball home game in 2025 delivered the wow factor. 

One of the standout moments of the season came during our First Nations Round match against the Melbourne Vixens, when Eventco brought to life a moving Welcome to Country ceremony featuring Mitch Tambo and The Voice of LeLe, culminating in a powerful rendition of Great Southern Land.  

This level of production not only set the tone for the match but highlighted the role Eventco plays in creating experiences that go far beyond the court. 

Eventco also assisted in the successful delivery of Federation of International Sports, Aerobics and Fitness (FISAF) events and the Australian National Skipping Championships at Nissan Arena. 

Behind the scenes, Eventco’s technical support and collaborative approach have been game-changing for the Firebirds and all major events at Nissan Arena.  

Responsive and reliable, they operate as an extension of the Firebirds events and marketing teams, connecting seamlessly with internal systems to ensure every detail is delivered with excellence – and plenty of fun along the way. 

The results speak for themselves.  

The Firebirds sold out four home games and came close to filling the stands at three more, with record-breaking attendance of over 32,000 fans across the SSN season. 

The Firebirds end-of-year fan survey showed 92 per cent of attendees would return – with comments praising the “excellent atmosphere” and “family-friendly entertainment.” 

From intimate functions to major fixtures, Eventco has proven that Nissan Arena is the ultimate venue for unforgettable events.
